Who We Are
adMarketplace is the largest global marketplace for Native Search advertising. For over 25 years, we’ve connected brands with consumers at the moment they express commercial intent beyond legacy search engines.
Today, our Native Search solutions are exclusively integrated across next-generation platforms where discovery happens, including web browsers, Buy Now Pay Later apps, and AI chat surfaces. Powered by vector search technology, our platform delivers relevant text and product ads that match consumers with the brands, products, and offers they’re actively seeking.
Our award-winning culture is grounded in the principles of Curiosity, Collaboration, Creative Conflict, Commitment, and Competitiveness – our 5Cs. These values drive us to turn complexity into clarity and create measurable value for consumers, advertisers, and publishers alike.
The Role
As adMarketplace's first Technical Program Manager within Strategic Partnerships, you'll lead complex, advertiser-facing technical programs across our largest strategic partnerships.
You'll sit at the intersection of Strategic Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and our advertiser partners, helping bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution. You'll be responsible for ensuring both organizations are aligned on requirements, technical solutions, priorities, and the path to delivery.
Our strategic partnerships involve deeply integrated technical initiatives spanning real-time bidding, shopping ads, measurement and attribution, data sharing, and emerging AI advertising experiences. These programs require navigating evolving requirements, technical dependencies, competing priorities, and stakeholders across multiple organizations.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical fluency with program leadership and client-facing experience. You'll need to understand the technology, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, build trusted relationships with technical counterparts, and drive initiatives forward without directly managing the teams responsible for implementation.
This is a new function at AMP. You'll help establish how we manage advertiser-driven technical programs, creating the structure, accountability, and cross-functional alignment needed to accelerate execution across our strategic partnerships.
Technical Program Leadership
Own end-to-end coordination and execution of complex advertiser-driven technical programs, from discovery through launch.
Establish and maintain program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, decision logs, and delivery commitments.
Drive alignment across internal teams and advertiser technical stakeholders on requirements, scope, ownership, and execution priorities.
Proactively identify blockers, conflicting assumptions, and gaps in requirements; drive resolution and escalate with clear recommendations.
Coordinate interdependent technical workstreams and manage evolving requirements, scope changes, and delivery risks.
Ensure technical discussions translate into clear decisions, actionable next steps, and measurable progress.
Requirements & Solution Alignment
Partner with Strategic Partnerships to understand advertiser objectives and translate business needs into structured technical workstreams.
Lead technical discovery and requirements-alignment sessions with advertisers and internal stakeholders.
Work with Product and Engineering to evaluate technical feasibility, solution options, implementation dependencies, and trade-offs.
Identify and reconcile differences between advertiser requirements, commercial expectations, and proposed technical solutions.
Maintain mutually understood requirements, acceptance criteria, and decisions throughout the program lifecycle.
Coordinate technical testing, POCs, phased rollouts, and launch readiness with the responsible teams.
Advertiser Technical Relationships
Establish and maintain direct working relationships with advertiser Technical Program Management, Product, and Engineering counterparts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical program coordination, requirements follow-up, and cross-company execution.
Communicate proactively through Slack, email, and recurring working sessions to resolve open questions, dependencies, and blockers.
Lead or facilitate recurring technical program meetings, ensuring clear objectives, decisions, owners, and next steps.
Participate in in-person technical workshops, offsites, and relevant QBRs to strengthen technical relationships and advance joint initiatives.
Partner with Strategic Partnerships on advertiser-facing escalations, keeping the account team informed of material technical developments and business implications.
Cross-Functional Execution
Coordinate technical program execution across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Supply, Campaign Management, FP&A, and other teams as required.
Partner with Product on requirements, feature scope, prioritization dependencies, and roadmap alignment.
Partner with Engineering on technical feasibility, implementation plans, testing, and delivery risks.
Engage Supply and Campaign Management when technical initiatives affect publisher capabilities, inventory, campaign operations, or launch readiness.
Engage FP&A when technical decisions or delivery dependencies affect revenue forecasts, investment requirements, or program economics.
Ensure each function owns its respective deliverables and recommendations while maintaining an integrated view of overall program progress.
Program Communication & Operating Model
Own technical program preparation and follow-through for recurring internal and external working sessions.
Maintain a clear, accessible view of active programs, including requirements, milestones, open decisions, dependencies, risks, and owners.
Translate complex technical discussions into concise updates, recommendations, and decisions for business and executive stakeholders.
Provide Strategic Partnerships with proactive visibility into delivery progress, commercial implications, and issues requiring their involvement.
Establish repeatable processes for technical intake, requirements management, program tracking, and escalation.
Use existing Product and Engineering systems wherever possible to improve accountability without creating unnecessary process.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in technical program management, technical partnerships, solutions engineering, or related technical delivery roles.
Demonstrated experience independently leading complex, cross-functional technical programs from requirements discovery through delivery.
Experience in ad tech, retail media, programmatic advertising, or a comparable API-driven technology environment.
Strong technical understanding of APIs, integration architectures, data flows, and advertising or measurement infrastructure.
Proven ability to translate ambiguous business objectives into clear technical requirements, actionable plans, and cross-functional decisions.
Experience working directly with enterprise clients or external technical partners, including leading technical working sessions and managing partner dependencies.
Ability to engage credibly with Product and Engineering on technical requirements, feasibility, architecture, and implementation trade-offs.
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders without direct authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex technical discussions and articulate clear recommendations in real time.
Strong program management discipline, including requirements tracking, risk management, dependency management, and stakeholder communication.
Experience using Jira or comparable tools to manage technical programs.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving requirements while maintaining accountability for execution.
Familiarity with OpenRTB, bidding systems, product feeds, attribution, event tracking, advertiser measurement, and SQL strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred; technical or quantitative background a plus.
